Love in Motion is our photo gallery celebrating Luggage for Love’s mission—bringing dignity, comfort, and hope to children in foster care and transitional living. Each brand-new duffle bag is thoughtfully packed with essential items and a comforting personal touch, then delivered with care across Nassau County, NY. These captured moments reflect the profound impact that small acts of compassion can make—one child, one bag, one life at a time.

Luggage for Love: Donation Events at St. Anne's
The St. Anne’s Luggage for Love initiative was deeply touching. The parishioners of St. Anne’s showed incredible generosity and heart. Each brand-new duffle bag was carefully packed with essential items and a comforting personal touch—perfectly reflecting our mission to ensure every child feels seen, supported, and valued during life’s most difficult transitions. Thanks to their kindness, we collected over 200 bags, bringing us one step closer to a world where no child has to carry their belongings in a plastic bag. We’re especially grateful to Father Tom for making this beautiful effort possible.

At their annual Cultural Appreciation Day, all the Garden City Girl Scout troops came together in a powerful show of generosity—collecting new duffle bags, essential items, and comforting personal touches for Luggage for Love. Their kindness helps us continue our mission of bringing dignity, comfort, and hope to children in foster care and transitional living across Nassau County. We’re deeply grateful to the Girl Scouts for not only their thoughtful donations, but for raising awareness and inspiring compassion for children right here in our own community.

Luggage for Love: St. Anne's Teen-Focused Drive
This fall’s collection at St. Anne’s focused specifically on teen boys and girls. Parishioners went to great lengths to ensure the bags they packed were tailored to teens, who are the most likely to be moved from placement to placement.
A heartfelt thank you to the parish and Father Tom for making this another amazing experience. Together, we collected a significant number of bags filled with care and compassion.
